Testimonial quote. Amanda Collie, Kathleen McKee, Katrine Mercier, and Katie Petrakos created between 100 and 120 individual costume pieces for the production, including ball gowns, frock coats and court jester attire. Large dance numbers were visually enhanced by the couples in the chorus colour-coordinating with their corresponding partners. Queen Aggravian’s and King Sextimus’ costumes showed an impressive level of technical skill and attention to detail.
— Kellie MacDonald The Ottawa Citizen: May 6, 2015
Testimonial quote. Costumes were also impressive, considering they were sewn from scratch by the team of Amanda Collie, Kathleen McKee and Katie Petrakos: matching fabrics helped compliment ladies’ gowns in ensembles, while blazer vests with buttons and tuxedo jacket tails outfitted the gentlemen.
— Yahong Chi, The Ottawa Citizen: April 21, 2014
Testimonial quote. But thanks to the dedication and commitment of the entire cast and crew, including grade 11 student Amanda Collie who led a five member team in designing and making over 100 costumes, they somehow managed to pull it off.
